If you’ve been using AutoCAD for a while, you probably have your own set of preferences when it comes to your drawing’s background.
We have received some feedback suggesting that some users want to see the background color they are used to and that their designs were created on.
Not everyone loves the current background limitations of AutoCAD WS where, like the Model T Ford, you can have any color as long as it’s black.
We’re planning to support background color customization with the next release. Once you select a background color in the web app, you will see it also in your mobile app for the editor, layouts and the block editor.
So let us know in the poll below which colors you’d like to choose from for your background.

Gray for model space, white for paper space.

I crinige when I read “Once you select a background color in the web app, you will see it also in your mobile app for the editor, layouts and the block editor.”
What is good in the office is not always what is good in the field.
In my experience it is easier to work with a black background indoors and a white background outdoors.

Good input Aaron. Thanks.

Why should there be a limitation on what colors can we use? Can’t you just provide a color palette like you do with regular colors and let us decide which hue of hot pink fits us best? as BG?
