Something very interesting happened following the last post about potentially introducing a command line to AutoCAD WS.
I presented four options about the placement of a command line in AutoCAD and then posted a poll where you could choose which one you liked best.
We got a few comments both on the blog post and on our Facebook page. The comments were unanimously in favor of us reproducing the existing and comfortingly familiar command line. But then when we looked at the poll results we fund something entirely different.
A clear majority (55%) of people who voted in the poll, chose the widget as their preferred representation of the command line. The existing version was back in third place with only 19% of the votes.
So we thought we would try to compare a couple of different versions of the widget, each with a different look and feel, and get your opinion on them.
Three pictures with a poll underneath.
Command Line Widget A
Command Line Widget B
Command Line Widget C

The widget was my second choice.
I like Widget A because of it’s similarity to the traditional command line.
I don’t really undersand what your trying to do with the colors and such in Widget B.
I do like what you appear to be doing with the command options avaiable in Widget C but the fact that it expands down is a bit troubling for me. Does this mean the command widget cannot or will not stay on the bottom of the work area?

Of course we will not be able to fully use AutoCAD WS until it is available on Android.

Of course!
Thanks Sam.

Nothing is stated about the ability to do Civil3d work. As a surveryor everything thing I do is done in Civil3D. Will this app allow me to work in Civil3D files?
