AutoCAD WS is a web application that requires you to upload your drawings to cloud-based servers for viewing and editing. There are now several ways for you to upload your drawings to AutoCAD WS and we want to find out which methods you prefer.
We also want to hear from you about any other ways to upload drawings you would like to see added into AutoCAD WS for the future.

As much as I like the cloud based files, i do wish i could open files without having to upload them first. this applies both to the web app as well as the ipad app.

The cloud is great for sharing files among group of professional people for changes and modification. But I hope Autocad WS comes with an offline version that people can send files to their clients with a regular email and their clients can view them. Or companies and manufactureres can upload their DWG files into their own web servers and their customers are able to view them in the company’s website rather than Autcad WS cloud via Amazon’s AWS.

I’d really like to see some type of command line batch uploaded or a web API mash-up so we can have our web server upload the files to WS without interaction… For example I’m on site, need to make changes to a DWG, I don’t have access to my network, but do have access to our intranet. I could hit a button to upload my file to WS from the office…

Whilst at the moment I use the website to upload drawings to my iPad, it’s a very slow process, and I don’t really like it. I would far rather use iTunes to upload my drawings.
I don’t really care about file sharing, we have to do it all by email with a document transmittal form anyway. I just want quick and easy access to my drawings on site. The iTunes method offers that far better than the cloud.

Would really like to see an Android specific app to use with cell phone but most of all android tablet. iPad app is nice, but android is becoming more ubiquitous.
Question, I have not tried this yet, but does the web based app work with mobile devices or is it not scaled to work well in that environment?

The good news is that Android is coming.
The web app is unlikely to work with mobile devices regardless of the browser your mobile is using.

Some application wants to integrate this AutoCADWS into their websites. If possible let me know kk
the answer of the following questions.
1. Do you have any API exposed (either free or commercial) so that it can be integrated with other website?
2. Do you have any API by which the Drawing Frame (the Flash Component) can be hosted into third party web application and leveraging their editing feature?
3. Do you have any plan to use your site into embedded into other website so that other user of other sites will be able to use it?
I shall be grateful to you.

Absolutely need the ability to work completely independently from the cloud! Need full local functionality with the OPTION of doing cloud-based work for those who want it.

I’m not able to upload files. When I click the browse button, Crome flashes once but nothing happens. I have pop-ups enable in my preferences, so not sure what’s wrong. Any suggestions?
